Team Sarcoma

Okay, something exciting I forgot to share:

I'm going on the Team Sarcoma Bike Tour in Vermont this July! This is exciting for so many reasons, but a few of them are:

1. It means that I'm strong enough to ride a bike again (not very far right now, but certainly by July)
2. It means that I'll be doing something proactive--participating in an event that raises sarcoma awareness and raises money for sarcoma research
3. I'll meet all kinds of cool people and other sarcoma survivors
4. We'll visit the Ben and Jerry's factory...that's right, Ben and Jerry's
5. My mom is going with me! YAY!
6. I'll get to tour around Vermont in July on a bike with cool people for a good cause and eat Ben and Jerry's ice-cream with my mom!!!

(Thank you Mary and Bruce for making it possible.)

I'll definitely write more about this later, but I had to at least share the quick clip.

Congratulations! How exciting! Are you going to the Decemberists concert (I don't know if you're a fan or not) on the 22nd at the Fillmore?

Hi,

I just wanted to congratulate you on an awesome blog, and on being able to go to the Team Sarcoma ride in Vermont! You must be very happy about that. I'm a pediatric oncologist, and I mostly take care of kids and young adults with sarcomas. I really enjoy reading your posts because they give me unique insight into what it is like for my patients. Unfortunately, we doctors don't always have the opportunity to fully see how these diseases impact on the lives of our patients, so blogs like yours are really very valuable. Thank you for doing this.

All the best,

David Loeb, MD

Aubrey,
Thanks! I don't even know the Decemberists--I'll have to check them out.

David,

Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot to me. I haven't been blogging much lately, so your comment inspires me to keep at it!
